I won the Donald J. Trump Contest. Donald Trump blog has showcased my winning question with my brief introduction. Here is the full text.
Ask Donald J. Trump Contest Winner #2: Rajesh Kumar Shakya

With today’s blog post, we showcase another winning question from our recent Ask Donald J. Trump contest
About Rajesh . . .
A native of Nepal, Rajesh Kumar Shakya is the three-time winner of The Best Entrepreneur in Information Technology Award, one of the prestigious Boss Top 10 Business Excellence Awards in Nepal. Rajesh is an entrepreneur, trainer, motivational speaker and consultant for many businesses, e-governance and IT projects. He holds a masters degree in computer engineering (with honors) and is on the visiting faculties of various universities and colleges including Kathmandu University and Kathmandu College of Management.
As a consultant, Rajesh currently serves as Reengineering Specialist at Asian Development Bank. He is also Chairman of Hightehvalley iNet, an ISO 9001:2000-certified software-development company that provides offshore services to companies in the USA, Canada, UK, Denmark, Japan and Belgium.
If that were not enough, Rajesh also writes a very interesting blog that helps entrepreneurs and technopreneurs to excel. He speaks at national and international conferences, workshops and seminars; and also writes frequently on topics that include entrepreneurship, leadership, e-governance, online business, project management, emerging technology and personal development.
With credentials like those, it is no wonder that Rajesh submitted a winning question to our contest. Let’s take a closer look.
Rajesh’s Winning Question to Donald J. Trump . . .
“When you are at the peak of success, how do you manage not to fall from there? What do you enjoy most, success or the journey to success?”
And the answer from Donald J. Trump . . .
“The two most important things to consider are focus and momentum. If you lose either one of them, it’s hard to stay at the peak of your form. Safeguard them both and your chances for continued success are much greater.
“I am fortunate in that I enjoy the process as well as the finished result. I enjoy the daily work involved and so I find the journey interesting–but success is the goal. Winning is important to me, in a way it’s like sports–playing the game is great but winning is even better.”
Coming next week - more winning questions! Stay tuned.

Business trends are changing everywhere and every kind of business. Think about any business you can imagine about, it has been changed the way it used to be over the time. If you can not catch the changing trend, you are likely losing a lot. How you smell the trend? How to prepare yourself for the change? How do you know which trend works and which not? Definitely you should be able to judge your intuition.
Follow the media. You will see all sorts of discussions on different subject areas like business, real estate, fashion, travel, education, personal life, investment opportunities, technology trends, innovations, innovators and many others. Just keep your eyes open to these media. You can spot a lot of information about the latest trends, future prospects and business opportunities from media.
As you see, most of the business today are people centric. People chose the trend. When you read papers or listen to the news and discussions in TV, Radio or when you talk to your customers in your store, listen to their interest. Try to find out where is your customers are heading? Try to segment your market, what segment of your customers are choosing which trend? You must learn from the trends. There are not only the new trends on product interests, its use and designs, but also there are new trends in reaching to your target market, the way you present yourself and also the way you present the contents. Businesses use celebrities as brand ambassadors to endorse their brands. Ads include customer testimonials. Ads use children as brand promoters. Products are launched in YouTube.com with video demos. Products and services are promoted using blogs. Event notifications are sent through mobile SMS. A lot more …. trends….
Do these trends help you, the entrepreneurs?
Look out of the box and gather the information from different channels. Read the business, technology and fashion magazines. Browse the Internet and watch the TV shows where people discuss their way of life, business and culture. Just need to start thinking and looking out of the box. You are with the trend.

Watch Out! Amazon Payment Services BETA
One more payment services provider in the market after PayPal and Google Checkout!
Amazon recently published an announcement in their Amazon web services Newsletter to Web service developers about their upcoming Online Payment System. According to the newsletter, the Beta version will be ready for testing very soon. Amazon already have Amazon Payments, but the new service will provide visitors to your site to use Amazon account to pay you for any product or service. It will also offer subscription and controlled access to content. The service will provide sites to use Amazon to manage payments between users and receive confirmation of transactions. This will be really useful for the online fund management services, definitely, it will be micro payments though.
You will be able to verify the status of any transactions to make sure that the user has not rescinded it. Amazon will provide the Web service API for payment processing and developers will be able to customize as per the need of online merchants. Since Amazon is running extremely successful Amazon Web Services and already having widespread users of the service, it won’t take much time for Amazon to compete with the existing market leaders.
Today, PayPal is the most popular payment service among small businesses. But it is sure that now the competition will be not so easy. For us, the more payment service providers compete, more choices for better service.
We will Watch Out, who will win the payment services market - PayPal? Google Checkout? or Amazon?

Web solutions for Collaborative Work for small businesses
I got a overwhelming response to my post on Enterprise Knowledge Vacuum. People sent me ‘thank you notes’ for alerting them about enterprise knowledge. Most of those readers wrote email asking to suggest the products for document and communications management in their office. I have reviewed few of the emerging products in this area. I hope thise web based products will be of some help to you. Whether you’re putting together an important document or emails or client contacts or manage projects, these services will help get everybody involved. I know many other proprietary, opensource, freeware, collaboration, workflow and knowledge management enterprise products - like Microsoft Groove, Tikiwiki, Oracle Collaboration Suite, IBM Lotus Notes and many others. But this is the first lot of Watch-Out reviews for you.
(For your information, these are not paid reviews)
Approver.com
Anyone who has collaborated with multiple people on a document knows the true meaning of frustration. You have to distribute the file to the entire group, convince every person to review it by a certain date and time, and get them all to sign off on it. Approver.com lowers the pain quotient considerably. Upload the document you want to track, and the site routes it to everyone who needs to see it. It also lets you set deadlines for reviewing the document, and keep track of approvals and comments. Approver.com works with a number of apps, including Microsoft Office, Adobe PDF, and Open Office; alternatively, you can use the site to create documents, and have your colleagues read them online.
